AI changing room: Can AI help me with my outfits

Posted on November 24, 2024November 24, 2024 By operator

This mini-project is a result of a little rabbit hole I fell into while exploring image-generating models. I wanted to play around with my “homemade” Midjourney but didn’t want to pay for renting a GPU since there was a lot of experimentation and failed attempts. As it turns out, my trusty MacBook Air M1 16/512 could handle Stable Diffusion 1.5.

So, I set a goal for myself—not just to explore, but to have something concrete that I wanted to create, which could potentially be used in some commercial form. Thus, the idea of an “AI Fitting Room” was born.

This is just a proof of concept; a lot of things need to be tweaked, but the overall idea is valid, and I see potential for it to be useful.

The cloths are not identical to the sample ones, but general idea is there. Also the model became more “manly” or maybe this is just the effect of the leather jacket 😉
There is also a potential for experimenting with different styles, I wouldn’t guess that green checker shirt will work with red pants 🙂
